AREA OBITUARIES -- JIMMY LANE

Jimmy Lane, 74 of Hickman, Ky. passed away at his residence October 18, 2022.

Jimmy was born on August 23, 1948 in East Prairie, Mo., to the late J.W. Lane and Effie (Nichols) Lane.

Jimmy was retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, Tenn. He was of Baptist faith and a member of the West Hickman Baptist church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Jack Lane; sister, Vickie Sue Lane; and a granddaughter, Harper Elise Lane.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Donna (King) Lane, whom he married on August 29, 1968; daughter, Tracy Lane of Hickman, Ky.; son, Justin (Katie) Lane of South Fulton, Tenn.; grandson, Brandon Willis; granddaughter, Rowan Lane; three brothers, Ronnie (Laurie) Lane, Donnie (Edie) Lane, Terry (Kathy) Lane; two sisters, Kathy (Tim) Wigdor and Pam (Chuck) Caldwell; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Lane will be held on October 21, at 11:00 a.m., at the West Baptist Church in Hickman, with Bro. Jason Sipes officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the West Baptist Church in Hickman, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on October 21, 2022.

Garrett Somerfield, J.P. Amberg, Derek Goodson, Brian Wilson, Don Taylor Lane and James Bridges will serve as pallbearers. Great-nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Strong Funeral Home of Hickman is in charge of arrangements.
