KELLY NAMED NEW FULTON COUNTY TRANSIT AUTHORITY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR KELLY NAMED NEW FULTON COUNTY TRANSIT AUTHORITY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Meeting in special called session at 12 noon at the Ken-Tenn EMS base in Fulton, the Fulton County Transit Authority Board, after adjourning from open session into closed executive session, returned to open session with action taken regarding the vacant position of the Fulton County Transit Authority Executive Director.

Effective Nov. 21, 2022, Kevin Kelley, who currently serves at Director of the Ken-Tenn EMS will assume those duties of FCTA Executive Director on that date, for a salary of $75,000.

Acting Interim Executive Director Kenney Etherton, was also authorized by board action, to be retained as a contract employee for the FCTA, through April 30, 2023, for $3200 per month.

Kelley's was the only resume received for the position, and interviewed by the FCTA Board's appointed hiring committee, composed of Jessie Webb, Mike Gunn and Lew Jetton.

The only other item on the agenda was discussion of Fulton County Transit Authority employees Christmas bonuses.

The board approved the bonuses for all 42 employees, with the amount of each employee's bonus based on previously determined criteria, from $1,000 to $3,000, with all bonuses totaling $50,000 and additional $3,800 added to that total for F.I.C.A.

Board members present in person included Mike Gunn, Jessie Webb, Carol Parker, Barbara McIntee, and via zoom, Emily Kirby. Also present for the meeting were Etherton, Kelley and Kristin Bond. Bond and Kelley did not enter into executive session initially, with Kelley being called into executive session prior to the board re-entering open session. Board member Lew Jetton was absent.
