AREA OBITUARIES -- WILLIAM (BILL) C. ROBERTSON, JR.

William (Bill) C. Robertson Jr. age 90, of Fulton Ky., passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025 while in the care of Creekview Health and Rehabilitation in Knoxville, Tenn.
Bill was born in Paducah and was adopted and raised in Central City. Upon graduating from Murray College (now Murray State University) he met and married Anne Linton and moved to Fulton to begin teaching industrial arts in the Fulton City School system.
After spending many summers working as a painter, Bill left the teaching profession to begin a new career in home decorating and repair.
Bill was active with the Boy Scouts as a youth and both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts as an adult leader.
He enjoyed working in his wood shop making beautiful furniture from cherry wood for his family. He was an avid deer hunter always looking forward to the opening day of deer season.
Bill was an active Rotarian holding many offices including president of the Fulton Rotary club and District Governor for district 671 (later 6710). He held the distinguished honor of being a Paul Harris Fellow.
Even after leaving the teaching profession Bill continued to support the education of Fulton’s children by
serving several terms on the Fulton City Board of Education.
He was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Fulton.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years Anne Linton Robertson and their three children and their families.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Bill Robertson Sr. and Kate Fentress Robertson.
A memorial service for Bill will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Fulton May 17 at 11 a.m. with receiving of friends scheduled from 9 am to 11 am. Burial will immediately follow the service in the Prayer Garden at the church.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 Carr Street, Fulton KY 42041 or a charity of choice.
