AREA OBITUARIES -- RAY "MUTTON" WILSON, JR.

 Mr. Ray Curtis Wilson, Jr., age 78 of Clinton, Ky. passed away Mon., March 3, 2025 at his daughter’s residence. 

 He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City, Tenn. and attended Oakton Baptist Church.  

Ray was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam era.  He served in the education system as a coach, school administrator in surrounding counties and was the principal at Hickman County Schools for 11 years.  

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Wilson of Clinton, daughter, Brandi (Steve) Stacy of Bardwell; son, Curt (Carrie) Wilson of Chico, Calif.;  2 step-sons, Caleb (Sara) DeWeese and Lukas (Payton) DeWeese, both of Clinton; grandchildren, Jordyn (Seth) Campbell of Lexington, Camryn Jackson of Clinton, Emma Wilson of Chico, Calif., Olivia DeWeese, Trigg DeWeese, Ellie DeWeese, Ila DeWeese, all of Clinton, Gannon (Makayla) Stacy of Bardwell and Foster Stacy of Paducah; and two great-grandchildren, Khloe and Piper Stacy.    

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Curtis Wilson, Sr. and Mary Emma McGinnis Wilson.

 Funeral services for Ray "Mutton" Wilson, Jr. will be held Thurs., March 6, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Jerry Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wed., March 5, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton, and after 10 a.m. on Thurs., March 6 until the funeral hour.
