Southern States serves all tastes for music, food

The former location of a co-op on Central Avenue in South Fulton, has been transformed into a combination restaurant, bar, live music mecca and event venue, with the opening of Southern State in August of 2022, by owners Tyson Babb, Greg Hodges and Jessica Mulcahy. 

The General Manager for the establishment is Sarah Taylor and Chef Turtle White, known as “Chef” Turtle, offer the best in atmosphere and taste bud temptations.

They are open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays for a delicious brunch, closed Mondays and open Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., serving lunch and dinner, as well as Friday-Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight. 

Karaoke and live bands bring the beat, with a variety of musical genres and amazing food specialties. 

The hardest part of a small business operation like Southern State, is getting people in the door, the staff agrees, but the best and easiest part, is knowing that once they do come in, the people will turn in to great customers.
