BLANCO BROWN, DRAKE WHITE HEADLINE 2024 BANANA FESTIVAL

The 2024 Banana Festival Committee had confirmed the Saturday Night Headliner for Sept. 21 on the Unity Park stage.

Following the 2024 Fulton’s Got Talent winner, who will perform from 6-6:30, and an opening performer yet to be determined slated for 7-8 p.m., Blanco Brown will take the stage for a free concert beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Blurring the lines between Country and Hip-Hop music, Blanco Brown makes a southern sound that he proudly calls “TrailerTrap.” Honing in on his unique sound, Blanco balances both the urban and rural settings in which he grew up. His viral hit “The Git Up”, which has been certified 11x Platinum across three countries, took the world by storm, claiming the top spot in charts across the globe and spawning nearly four billion views across social platforms.

It claimed the No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for 12 weeks and was the top- selling digital Country song in the US for 13 weeks, resulting in Billboard naming him as their No. 1 Top New Country Artist for 2019.

Apart from being a Grammy-nominated engineer who has worked with the likes of Fergie, Childish Gambino, Kane Brown and Chris Brown, the multi-talent’s multi-national Platinum-certified collaboration “Just the Way” with

Parmalee garnered more than 500 million on-demand streams, earning Brown his first No. 1 hit on Country radio (in the US and Canada).

In 2021, Blanco Brown lent soaring vocals to the song “Never Gonna Tame You, an original song from “The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses,” written by Diane Warren. Blanco released “Nobody’s More Country” in 2021.

While hitting the road this summer, he instantly captured the attention of festival audiences across the nation opening his set with a breathtakingly powerful cover blend of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” and Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey.”

Showcasing his world-class vocal talent and captivating stage presence throughout 2022, Blanco’s latest emotionally charged new track is “I’ll Never,” available now.

The 2023 Fulton’s Got Talent winner, Bailey Shemwell, will open up South Fulton’s Unity Park stage on Friday night, Sept. 20, from 5-5:30 p.m., and local favorite band Overwatch will perform in concert from 6-7 p.m. providing the perfect segue for headliner Drake White, at 7:30 p.m.

Drake White grew up singing in his church’s youth choir in Alabama before becoming one of Country music’s most spirited innovators, earning four Top 40 hits and traveling the country on multiple nationwide tours.

In early 2013, he released his debut single “Simple Life” through MCA Nashville.

White signed to Big Machine Records’ re-establishment of Dot Records in June 2014. The first single, “It Feels Good” released to country radio on Feb. 24, 2015. The second single, “Livin’ the Dream” released to country radio on Dec. 7, 2015 and on Aug.19, 2016, White released “Spark”, his debut album under Dot Records. It charted at No. 4 on the Top Country Albums chart.

The album’s third single, “Makin’ Me Look Good Again”, was released in 2016. A new 5-song EP titled “Pieces” was released on May 4, 2018.

In August 2019, he collapsed on stage due to a hemorrhagic stroke, and doctors told him he might never perform again. After undergoing a series of operations to repair his Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) and months of physiotherapy, White has proved them wrong, embarking on his The Optimystic Tour to spread his incredible positivity to his fans.

New songs “Power of a Woman” and “Giants” are the latest tastes of new music from White, who has received accolades including Rolling Stone’s 10 Country Artists You Need to Know, The Grammy’s Artist of Tomorrow and the British CMA Awards’ International Song of the Year. He has shared the bill with Country music superstars like Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Zac Brown Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tyler Bryant and Channing Wilson.
