Fulton County Schools to dismiss early March 31 for weather

March 31, 2023

Fulton County Schools Superintendent Patrice Chambers reported, "The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority when making decisions. After reports from meteorologists at the National Weather Service out of Paducah, Kentucky of severe weather, Fulton County Schools have decided to take all safety precautions. We will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. today, Friday, March 31st."

Fulton County Schools will make decisions on closings as many hours in advance as possible, in consideration of families who need time to make proper arrangements.

Fulton County schools will continue to communicate school closing information through our one-call system, email, social media, and WPSD weather alert. Pilots, please stay safe and have a “PILOTASTIC” spring break!
