Purchase Parkway Northbound Lane Restriction at Fulton starting Tuesday, Feb 28

Work to take about 3 days to complete

PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to restrict Purchase Parkway and U.S. 51 Northbound traffic to one lane at the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line starting Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

This northbound work zone lane restriction on the Purchase Parkway and U.S. 51 at Kentucky mile point 0.0 is to allow deck work on the KY 116/State Line Road Overpass. This work zone restriction will have to remain in place to allow concrete used for the deck repairs to cure. The work zone configuration may chance from time to time to facilitate the required work.

Motorists traveling U.S. 51 northbound should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the state line and the Purchase Parkway.

This work zone for bridge deck work is expected to be in place around the clock into Thursday, March 2, 2023.

Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

This project is scheduled on a weather permitting basis.
