Milling and Asphalt Paving along Various Highways in Fulton County starting Today

October 14, 2022

PADUCAH, Ky. (OCT. 14, 2022) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans milling and asphalt paving at various locations along highways in Fulton County starting this week and continuing into next week.

This is part of a wide range of spot repairs and maintenance patching in Fulton County. Most of these projects are along short sections of rural secondary highways such as capping recently replaced cross drains or culverts.

While these paving locations will be spread across the county, a few specific locations include:

KY 924 from the Railroad Corssing at mile point 3.365 extending eastward to U.S. 51 at mile point 4.143

KY 1128 from near the KY 2140 intersection at mile point 3.513 extending eastward to the Maddox Road intersection at mile point 4.57- Closure for full-width paving

KY 1128 from the Alexander Road intersection at mile point 7.122 extending eastward to the KY 1212 intersection at mile point 7.620 - Closure for full-width paving

Again, there will be numerous locations where crews will only be working for a few hours.

Motorists should be alert for Break in Pavement signage at milled areas prior to the arrival of the paving crew.

When paving crews are on-site, motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
