FOR MAY 7 PRINT EDITION...Kentucky State Police Investigating Fatal Collision in Hickman County

Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 troopers investigated a single vehicle collision that claimed the life of the 1st Circuit Commonweath's Attorney, Honorable Mike Stacy on April 29.
KSP was notified of a single vehicle collision that occurred near the 3000 block of US-51 in the Clinton community of Hickman County at 3:21 p.m.
The initial investigation indicates a 2018 Infinity Q50, operated by Michael B. Stacy, 68 years old of Kevil, Ky., was traveling northbound on US-51 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
Michael B. Stacy was pronounced deceased at the scene. Passenger, Michael "Bo" Stacy II, 30 years old of Cunningham, Ky. was transported by AirEvac to an out of state hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition. Both occupants were wearing their seat belts.

KSP was assisted on scene by the Hickman County Sheriff's Office, Hickman County EMS, Hickman County Fire-Rescue, Hickman County Emergency Management, and AirEvac.
