AREA OBITUARIES -- Carole Jean Lapitz Freeman

Mrs. Carole Jean Lapitz Freeman, age 85, of South Fulton, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Freeman was born in Pengilly, MN, on October 17, 1939, to the late Charles Lapitz and Margaret "Laird" Lapitz. She was of the Methodist faith.

Carole moved to this area from Burnsville, MN, in 2009 to marry her husband. She spent her working career as an office manager for Newman Financial.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by her children, Amber (Greg) Freeman of Muskegon, MI, Tom (Angela) Rezab of Muskegon, MI, Tim (Geri) Freeman of Concord, MI, Sherrie (Duane) Harrington of Walker, MN, Kyna Stewart of Michigan City, MI, and Rick (Gayle) Freeman of Fruitport, MI.

Nineteen grandchildren; Rhea Freeman, Erin (Andrew) Reinker, Hunter (Lauren) Freeman, Emma (Noah) Minghine, Jack (Kelli) Freeman, Eric (Danica) Harrington, Adam Harrington, Sean (Nicole) Harrington, Kristen Spencer, Kyle (Meggan) Stewart, Karie Jones, Kory (Jamie) Stewart, Jared (Jessica) Freeman, Ryan Freeman, Sydney (Caynan) Freeman, Bradley (Haley) Freeman, Holly (Eric) Freeman, Kaydence Blunt-Rezab, Chase Rezab; and twenty-two great-grandchildren;

In addition to her husband, Mickie Freeman, and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donovan Lapitz, and a sister, Maxine McDowell.

Graveside services for Mrs. Carole Freeman will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Obion County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Paul Adams officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Freeman will be held in our funeral chapel on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM until time to go to the cemetery for graveside services
