U.S. 51/KY 58 Intersection in Clinton to Convert to Flashing 4-Way Stop Monday, Mar. 17
Traffic study will determine if signal can be removed
PADUCAH, Ky. (Mar. 13, 2025)
The traffic signal at the intersection of U.S. 51 and KY 58 in Clinton will be placed in red flashing mode starting on Monday, March 17, creating a temporary four-way stop.This is near the 7.7-mile marker of U.S. 51/S. Washington Street. Intersecting roadways are KY 58/W. Clay Street and KY 123/E. Clay Street. (𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵).It is part of a 90-day study by Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 1 to determine if a permanent conversion to a four-way stop would improve traffic flow.District 1 traffic engineers will monitor the intersection at various times throughout the study, checking on traffic flow. At the end of the 90 days, engineers will evaluate findings and determine if the signal should be removed.
