AREA OBITUARIES -- BARBARA HOLLINGSWORTH

Barbara Ann Hollingsworth, resident of Martin, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at the Obion County Nursing Home near Union City.
She was born in Fulton County, Ky., on Oct. 2, 1939, to the late Joe Thomas Johnson and Will Ella Kemp Johnson.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of this area and was the food sample lady for many years at the former EW James in Hickman, Ky.
She is survived by two daughters, Kandy (Gary) Coots of Brentwood and Penny (John) Fleming of Hickman; four grandchildren, Amanda (John) Cagle of Union City, Matt (Tori) Moss of Hickman, Ashton (Jason) Giles of South Fulton and Bailee (Chandler) Thurmon of Franklin; four great-grandchildren, Ella Cagle of Union City, Mattie Giles of South Fulton and Hollis and Hattie Beth Moss of Hickman; one brother, Joe Kemp Johnson of Hickman; and one sister, Dolly Covington of Hickman. She is also survived by her stepchildren and their families, Ronnie Hollingsworth, Terry Hollingsworth, Pam Allen, Jimmy Hollingsworth and Chris Hollingsworth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Donald Hollingsworth; one brother, Bobby Roberts; and two sisters-in-law, Jean Johnson and Patsy Roberts.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., with family and friends coming from 9 a.m. until hour of service, on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel of Hickman, with Bro. John Carroll officiating. Burial followed at Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, from 6PM to -8 p.m. at the funeral chapel in Hickman.
