AREA OBITUARIES -- HAZEL DUNCAN BYASSEE

Hazel Duncan Byassee, age 82 of South Fulton, Tenn. passed away Mon., Feb. 17, 2025 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.
Hazel was a member of Oakton Baptist Church and worked for Henry I Siegel as a seamstress and Supervisor. She also worked various other jobs around Hickman County.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Bart) Wright of Martin, Tenn.; five sisters, Mary Ann Griffin of Union City, Carol Ruch of Festus, MO, Pam Jackson of Clinton, Sandra “Susie” Byassee of Paducah and Becky Stinson of Arlington, Ky.; four grandchildren, Durant (Sarah Beth) Wright, Dallas (Kelsey Stewart) Wright, Michael (Kristin) Grooms and Alec (Rachael) Pierce and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dorothy West Duncan; Daughter, Bridget Stroud; one Brother and one Sister.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 21, 2025 at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with Bro. Jerry Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. on Friday at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton.
