WEATHER BRIEFING FROM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE, PADUCAH, MON. MORNING, FEB. 17
February 17, 2025
Our latest weather briefing regarding the impending winter storm Tuesday into Wednesday and dangerous cold is attached and also available online. Our forecast confidence was high enough to upgrade to a Winter Storm Warning for all southeast Missouri. The rest of the region remains under a Winter Storm Watch.
We have also scheduled a webinar for the winter storm today at 3:30 PM CST. You can register for the webinar here: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/8799729552546754391
Overall forecast snowfall amounts have trended down slightly, but the forecasted amounts will still be great enough to cause significant travel impacts. Dangerous cold will follow the snow, but sub-zero wind chills forecast Thursday morning. Additionally, flooding concerns will continue from Saturday's heavy rain event. Overland flooding will gradually subside, but river flooding will continue for at least the next week along parts of the Green and Ohio Rivers.
If you have any questions or need immediate assistance, please give us a call at 270-744-0321.
